Vivo has officially introduced the Vivo X300 Pro in Kenya, succeeding the local launch of the X200 Pro. The new flagship is now available at an RRP of KES 169,999, positioning it among the most expensive Android phones currently sold in the country — and also one of the most camera-focused.
The X300 Pro builds heavily on Vivo’s partnership with ZEISS, while also bringing a larger battery, a new MediaTek flagship chipset, and long-term software support.

A 200MP ZEISS telephoto camera leads the pitch
The standout feature on the Vivo X300 Pro is its 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto camera, designed for high-resolution zoom photography with reduced chromatic aberration and improved stabilization.
The full rear camera setup includes:
- 50MP ZEISS gimbal-grade main camera
- 50MP ZEISS ultra-wide camera
- 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto camera
On the front, Vivo uses a 50MP ZEISS wide-angle autofocus camera.
Backing the hardware is Vivo’s Pro Imaging Chip VS1, which works alongside the V3+ chip to handle real-time image processing. This enables features such as:
- 20x long-range motion snapshots
- Stage Mode 2.0 with Dolby Vision
- 4K 120fps Dolby Vision HDR video
- 10-bit Log video recording
- Multi-focal portraits at 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 135mm
Vivo is also pushing optional accessories, including a ZEISS 2.35x telephoto extender priced at KES 40,000 and a professional photography grip kit, aimed at users who treat the phone as a serious camera replacement.

Dimensity 9500 performance and long-term software support
Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, built on TSMC’s 3nm process. Vivo says the chip delivers major gains in GPU performance and efficiency, alongside a large jump in NPU performance for on-device AI features.

Out of the box, the X300 Pro runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Importantly, Vivo is committing to:
- 5 years of Android OS updates
- 7 years of security updates
OriginOS 6 focuses on smoothness and ecosystem integration, with features like EasyShare file transfers (including with iPhones), AI-powered document tools, live transcription, and on-device AI processing designed with privacy in mind.
Large battery in a slim body
Despite packing flagship hardware, the X300 Pro remains relatively slim at 7.99mm, with a 226g weight and a unibody 3D glass design.
Battery life is another key selling point. The phone features a 6510mAh BlueVolt battery, supported by:
- 90W wired FlashCharge
- 40W wireless charging
Vivo also claims long-term battery health thanks to semi-solid-state battery technology, alongside features like a Battery Life Extender mode for emergency use.
ZEISS-tuned display and durability upgrades
The X300 Pro sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with:
- LTPO adaptive refresh rate (1–120Hz)
- Up to 4,500 nits peak brightness
- ZEISS Natural Color tuning
- Advanced eye-care features, including high-frequency PWM dimming and full-range DC dimming
On the durability side, the phone is rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance, supports wet-hand touch, and uses Armor Glass for improved drop protection.
