Infinix NOTE 60 Series officially teased with satellite calling & messaging, and next-gen cooling at CES 2026

Infinix has hit the floor at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, and they aren’t holding back. Under their new “Joyful Tech, Beyond Limits” banner, the company has officially confirmed the upcoming Infinix NOTE 60 Series, and it’s shaping up to be a massive leap forward, particularly in connectivity and gaming performance.

Satellite connectivity for everyone

The standout feature for the NOTE 60 Series is the integration of “Always-On” Satellite Communication. While we’ve seen satellite features trickle into the ultra-premium market, Infinix is aiming to democratize it with the Note lineup. This comes shortly after Airtel Africa inked a deal with Elon Musk’s Starlink to venture into mobile-to-satellite communication starting this 2026.

According to Infinix, the system supports high-definition two-way voice calls and SMS texting, capable of covering nearly two-thirds of the earth’s surface. The best part? It’s designed to be seamless. Infinix promises no additional registration is needed; the phone simply switches between mobile roaming and satellite connectivity automatically. It even works with speakerphone and Bluetooth headsets, ensuring you stay connected in dead zones or remote areas without having to hold the phone up to the sky.

Cooling that actually sounds cool

Infinix has been aggressively targeting the mobile gaming niche recently. We saw this locally when Infinix partnered with PUBG Mobile in Kenya, and globally when they were nominated for Esports Commercial Partner of the Year late last year.

To keep that gaming momentum going, the NOTE 60 Series will debut the industry’s first HydroFlow Liquid Cooling Architecture. It uses a “Dual-Piezoelectric-Ceramic” pump to move coolant around. In plain English? It moves liquid cooling twice as fast as current active systems, covering 100% of the mainboard’s heat sources.

They are pairing this with a new Piezoelectric Fan. Instead of a bulky spinning fan with blades, this uses a vibrating sheet (thinner than a hair) that pulses 25,000 times a second to push air. It’s quieter, 10x more efficient at heat dissipation, and sounds like sci-fi tech coming to life. To round out the gaming experience, they are also launching a new split controller with a pressure-sensitive touchpad and wireless magnetic triggers.

A new era of design

On the design front, Infinix is showing off “Active Visual Backplate Technology.” This allows the back of the phone to change patterns and colours using optical microstructures and smart materials like photochromic leather that react to light and temperature, all without draining the battery.

This heavy focus on premium aesthetics lines up perfectly with recent reports that the Infinix NOTE 60 Ultra will feature a design by Pininfarina. It seems Infinix is committed to making the NOTE 60 series not just a gaming beast, but a style icon as well.

The AI ModuVerse

Finally, Infinix teased a magnetic modular system called AI ModuVerse. This includes snap-on accessories like a professional “Mic Modu” for noise reduction, a “StackPower” battery extender, and various camera add-ons for vlogging and sports.

For Kenyan consumers, the Infinix Note series has long been about delivering standout features at accessible prices. With the Note 60 lineup, Infinix appears to be pushing that formula further — introducing technologies like satellite calling, advanced cooling, and expressive design elements that have traditionally been reserved for far more expensive phones.

Pricing, availability, and regional feature support are still to be announced, but if even part of what was shown at CES makes it into retail units, the Infinix Note 60 series could become one of the most talked-about smartphone launches of 2026 — not just globally, but right here at home.
