KUCCPS portal now open for KMTC March 2026 intake with Jan. 27 deadline — here’s how to apply

The KUCCPS portal is officially open for students seeking placement at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for the March 2026 intake. According to an update shared on KUCCPS’ official social media channels, applications opened on January 7, 2026, and will run until January 27, 2026.

This application window targets students interested in health sciences certificate and diploma programmes, with dozens of KMTC courses now available for selection through the portal. This intake is open for students who sat their KCSE in 2024 or earlier, with those waiting for the KCSE 2025 results scheduled for the September 2026 intake.

How to apply via the KUCCPS Portal

Applying is a straightforward digital process. Here is a quick guide on how to navigate the KUCCPS portal to submit your application:

  1. Log in: Visit the student portal at students.kuccps.ac.ke. Click the “Login” tab and enter your KCSE Index Number, KCSE Year, and Password. Note: Your password is typically your Birth Certificate Number or your KCPE Index Number.
  2. View courses: Once logged in, click on the “KMTC Programmes” tab. This will display all available courses along with their minimum entry requirements.
  3. Check eligibility: Review the options carefully. The system will allow you to apply only for courses where you meet the minimum requirements.
  4. Select preferences: Identify the courses you want and note down their specific Programme Codes.
  5. Start application: Click on the “KMTC Application” tab and select “Apply Now.”
  6. Enter codes: Input the Programme Codes into the form. You must arrange them in order of priority, starting with your most preferred course (No. 1) down to your least preferred (No. 4).
  7. Submit: After entering the codes, allow the system to fetch the programme details to ensure they are correct, then click Submit.
  8. Payment: You will be required to pay KES 1,500. Follow the payment instructions displayed on the portal to complete the process.

Important deadline: The KUCCPS portal will close for these applications on January 27, 2026, which is less than three weeks from the time of publishing this article.

With the KUCCPS portal now live, students interested in medical and health-related careers are encouraged to apply early, double-check programme requirements, and ensure their application is submitted before the deadline.
