Alongside the Galaxy S26 series launch, Samsung has officially dropped its latest audio companions: the Galaxy Buds4 and Galaxy Buds4 Pro.
If the Galaxy S26 is the brain of the operation, these earbuds are the ears, and they’ve received a radical makeover. While your phone will be busy thinking ahead, the Buds4 will be your audio adapting in real time. Gone is the “bean” shape of years past, replaced by a sleek, sharp “Blade” design. But it’s not just about looks; Samsung is using 2026’s AI wave to make sure you barely have to touch your earbuds at all.
Design: Blade look, smaller heads, smarter fit
Samsung says the Galaxy Buds4 series was built using data from over 100 million ear shape points and more than 10,000 fit simulations. That sounds excessive until you remember how many people complain about earbuds slipping out mid-run.
The result is a refined “blade” design with smaller earbud heads for a more secure and comfortable fit during long listening sessions. The Pro model uses a canal-fit design for better isolation, while the standard Buds4 stick to an open-fit style for users who prefer less in-ear pressure.

There is also a recessed pinch control area engraved into the blade, making it easier to locate and adjust playback without awkward tapping. The charging case now has a semi-transparent clamshell design, so you can actually see the buds and their charging status instead of guessing.
Color options include White and Black for both models, with an online-exclusive Pink Gold available for the Buds4 Pro.
Sound: Bigger woofer, deeper bass, smarter ANC
The biggest hardware change lands on the Buds4 Pro. For the first time, Samsung has added a wider, bezel-less woofer that increases the vibrating surface area by nearly 20% compared to the previous generation. In practical terms, that means fuller bass without muddying the mids and highs.

The Buds4 Pro support 24-bit/96kHz audio, delivering higher-resolution sound that aims to stay closer to the original recording. Violins should sound cleaner. Basslines will hit deeper. Podcasts will sound less like they were recorded in a tunnel.
Active Noise Cancellation has also been upgraded. Enhanced ANC now adapts to your ear shape and how the buds are worn, applying real-time adjustments to reduce everything from engine hum on a bus to general café chatter. Samsung has paired this with an enhanced Adaptive EQ that fine-tunes frequencies dynamically, so the sound remains balanced even as conditions change.
Call quality gets a boost too. Super Clear Call uses machine learning and 16kHz super wideband audio to reduce background noise and double the bandwidth of typical Bluetooth calls. In theory, your voice should cut through the chaos of a crowded matatu or a busy office floor.
“Samsung understands that a truly premium audio experience combines technical sound quality with how that sound feels throughout a user’s day,” said Ikhyun Cho, Corporate VP of Samsung’s Mobile Enhancement R&D Team. “We engineered our most powerful hi-fi audio and our most secure, ergonomic fit to enhance one another.”

Galaxy ecosystem: Hands-free AI and head gestures
Like the S26 series, the Buds4 are tightly integrated with Galaxy AI. Open the case near a Galaxy device and a connection pop-up appears instantly. No hunting through Bluetooth menus.
Users can adjust ANC levels and EQ settings directly from the Quick Panel without opening the Galaxy Wearable app. More interestingly, the Buds4 series supports hands-free activation of AI agents, including Bixby, Google Gemini, and Perplexity AI.
You can trigger these agents with your voice, reducing the need to pull your phone out of your pocket. If paired with the S26 series, this creates a loop where your phone anticipates tasks and your earbuds let you act on them without touching anything.

The Buds4 Pro also introduce Head Gestures. A simple nod can answer calls, while other subtle movements allow users to interact with Bixby and manage certain controls. It is a small feature, but for workouts or when your hands are full, it makes a difference.
Galaxy Buds4 availability and price
The Galaxy Buds4 and Buds4 Pro are available for pre-order starting February 25, alongside the Galaxy S26 lineup, with general availability from March 11 in select markets. The standard Buds4 cost $180 while the Buds4 Pro cost $250.

The Galaxy Buds4 series does not attempt to reinvent wireless earbuds. Instead, Samsung has focused on refining fit, deepening bass, strengthening noise cancellation, and embedding smarter controls into everyday listening.
In isolation, they are solid hi-fi earbuds with improved ANC and call quality. Paired with the Galaxy S26, they become part of a broader AI-driven ecosystem that is increasingly designed to operate quietly in the background while you move through your day.
