Vivo’s S2 FE smartphone will launch in India on 6th October 2026, alongside the Vivo V80. A promotional page on Flipkart, the Indian online retailer, gives the launch time as noon in India.
The battery is the specification to watch. A leak puts it at 10,000mAh, with 44W wired charging. Neither figure is confirmed in the launch coverage, so the S2 FE’s announcement date should not be read as confirmation of its rumoured battery capacity.
What the teaser confirms
Reports point to a Flipkart teaser showing a green phone with a flat back and two rear cameras. The cameras sit inside a square module at the top left, alongside an LED flash. Flipkart is also named as a sales channel for India.
The teaser names OriginOS, Vivo’s phone software, without specifying a version. That leaves the software version to be confirmed separately. An October launch date alone is no reason to assume that the S2 FE will ship with the same software as the V80.
A larger battery than the standard S2
The battery rumour comes from tipster Ahsan Kharbai’s 22nd September post on X. Kharbai lists a 10,000mAh battery and 44W charging alongside a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e processor.
For comparison, Vivo’s official S2 specification sheet, checked on 27th September, lists a 7,050mAh battery, 44W charging and a Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor. If the leak is accurate, the FE would have 2,950mAh more capacity, an increase of about 42%, while keeping the same maximum charging power.
That percentage describes battery capacity. It is not a measured improvement in battery life under everyday use. We would need testing of the finished phone to know how much longer it lasts, and how long a full charge takes.

The other leaked specifications
Kharbai’s post also lists a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The camera claims are a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor at the back, plus a 32MP front camera. An in-display fingerprint reader is also listed.
These remain specifications from a leak. The two visible rear cameras in a promotional image do not verify their resolutions, and the launch teaser described by Gadgets 360 does not establish the full hardware specification.
Pricing still needs confirmation
A separate 25th September report, citing XpertPick, puts the box price at INR 39,999 for a model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. That is a leaked price printed on packaging, rather than an announced selling price.
The launch reports concern India and do not establish a Kenyan release. On 6 October, the details to check are the final battery specification and actual retail price. Those will tell us how much of the S2 FE’s appeal survives beyond the leak.
