vivo has launched the S2 FE in India with a 10,000mAh battery, confirming the capacity that made the phone interesting before its announcement. Sales start on 20th October through its Indian website, partner shops, Flipkart and Amazon.
The version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs INR 38,999 or about KES 53,000. Moving to 8GB of RAM, the working memory that keeps apps running, costs INR 42,999 or about KES 58,000, with the same 128GB storage.
When we covered the S2 FE late last month, the battery and 44W charging were still leaks. Both are now confirmed. The appeal is easy to understand if you spend much of the day away from a socket, although the larger battery comes with extra weight and the same maximum charging power as the standard S2.
More capacity, with limits to the endurance claims
The standard S2 has a 7,050mAh battery. The FE adds 2,950mAh, an increase of about 42%. The BlueVolt battery is listed as 10,000mAh typical capacity and 9,800mAh rated capacity.
Charging reaches a maximum of 44W with vivo’s standard charger, which is included in the Indian box. vivo’s launch release and specification page give no full-charge time. The phone can also send power to a compatible USB-C device through reverse charging, but that output is 6W. It is useful for topping up another device when needed; compatibility can affect whether it charges and at what power.
vivo’s endurance figures include up to 30 hours of video watching under laboratory conditions. The test uses Wi-Fi, a fully charged phone and a screen set to 150 nits, a measure of brightness. Using a brighter screen outdoors or a different network can change the result, so that figure is a test result from vivo, not a promise of your viewing time.
The seven-year battery-health claim needs the same care. vivo says laboratory tests left at least 80% capacity after 1,400 full charge-and-discharge cycles. It then assumes a full cycle every 1.83 days to arrive at roughly seven years. If you use up a full cycle more often, you reach that cycle count sooner. The claim concerns battery wear, and establishes no seven-year software support commitment.
vivo also promotes a 32-hour-and-37-minute Guinness World Records testing livestream. Its release identifies the device used as the V80 Lite 5G, marketed in India as the S2 FE, and dates the test to 11th August 2026 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The record is for the longest electronic product testing livestream; it does not establish how long everyone’s phone will last between charges.
What else you get
The S2 FE’s specification sheet lists a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen, whose pixels produce their own light, with a resolution of 2800 by 1260 pixels. Its refresh rate reaches 120Hz in supported apps, so it can redraw the image up to 120 times a second for smoother movement. vivo lists 2,000 nits in high-brightness mode, relevant to seeing the screen outdoors.
The S2 FE joins the standard S2 in vivo’s Indian S-series.

The FE’s rear secondary camera is for portrait blur, with no dedicated ultrawide or telephoto camera in the listed setup. Both storage options are fixed at 128GB, with no memory-card expansion. The specification sheet also lists no NFC, the short-range connection used for functions such as tap-to-pay. Dual View recording, which uses the front and rear cameras together, is restricted to the 8GB version.
The IP68 and IP69 ratings cover dust and water resistance under specified tests, including immersion and hot, high-pressure water jets. vivo warns that resistance can decline with wear and that liquid damage is excluded from the warranty. The ratings should not be taken as permission to deliberately submerge the phone.
