OPPO Kenya will launch the Reno14 Series on July 24, 2025. The new smartphone series integrates advanced technology with design elements inspired by nature, focusing on aesthetics, structural integrity, and durability.
The Reno14 Series introduces an iridescent finish created using a twelve-layer precision coating method. This new technique enhances the depth of the device’s colors and textures through five rounds of micron-level optimization, achieving lines as thin as 20 microns. The Iridescent Mermaid Design, specifically developed for this series, results from stacking twelve refined coating processes to produce intricate light refractions.
Fredrique Achieng, PR Manager at OPPO Kenya, said the Reno14 Series is designed to combine aesthetics and functionality, targeting users who value style and reliability. The Reno14 F 5G model will be offered in two color options: Luminous Green and Opal Blue.
The Reno14 Series also emphasizes durability through its internal Sponge Armor Body structure, inspired by sea sponges known for their resilience. This design effectively absorbs shocks and distributes impacts internally, reducing potential damage from accidental drops. Additionally, the series features a reinforced high-strength alloy frame, maintaining structural integrity while managing device temperatures under heavy usage.
Regarding protection against environmental factors, the Reno14 Series is rated IP66, IP68, and IP69, offering varying levels of water and dust resistance:
- IP66: Protection against water splashes.
- IP68: Withstands immersion in freshwater up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.
- IP69: Resistant to high-pressure and high-temperature water exposure.
The series also includes a corrosion-resistant platinum-coated USB port and supports underwater photography with 4K video capability.
In terms of display, the Reno14 F 5G model features a 6.57-inch AMOLED screen, offering a 93.04% screen-to-body ratio, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 1400 nits peak brightness, and glove touch functionality for versatile use in various conditions.
