These TECNO Phones Have Received The Latest Security Patches [June 2025]

Insights At a Glance:

  • TECNO has listed several POVA, POP, SPARK, and CAMON devices as having received the latest security updates this June.
  • Despite the June listing, users — including CAMON 30 owners — confirm their phones are still on the May 2025 security patch.
  • No shoutout yet for the CAMON 40 series or TECNO’s foldables, which are notably missing from the official list.

TECNO Mobile has updated its list of smartphones that have received the “latest” security updates as of June 2025 — and as expected, it’s a familiar lineup of budget and midrange devices. However, a closer look suggests that “latest” may not mean June 2025’s Android security patch, but rather the latest available update TECNO has rolled out — likely the May 2025 patch, based on firsthand user reports.

According to several CAMON 30 series owners on Reddit, the most recent security patch currently on their phones is dated May 2025 — which seems to align with TECNO’s internal release cycle. So even though these models are listed under the June update section, the actual patch version is likely a step behind Google’s official security bulletin for June.

Here’s the list of TECNO phones officially marked as “up to date” this June:

  • TECNO POVA Series: POVA 5, POVA 6, POVA 6 Neo, POVA 6 Pro 5G
  • POP Series: POP 8, POP 9
  • SPARK Series: SPARK 20C, SPARK 20 Pro+, SPARK 30, SPARK 30 Pro, SPARK Go 2024, SPARK Go 1
  • CAMON Series: CAMON 20, CAMON 20 Pro, CAMON 30 4G, CAMON 30S, CAMON 30 5G

Notably absent? TECNO’s more premium models. No foldables, and no mention of the recently launched CAMON 40 series — a surprising omission considering these are some of TECNO’s flashiest devices. Multiple users confirm their CAMON 40 devices are still stuck on the April 2025 security patch, which lines up with the fact that the series isn’t listed on TECNO’s own update tracker yet.

This trend isn’t new. The same pattern showed up in April and May, where a rolling list of POVA, POP, SPARK, and CAMON 20/30 phones got love — but newer or flagship-tier phones were MIA. So while TECNO does maintain a steady update schedule (kudos for that), it’s clear that update timing and prioritization don’t necessarily favor the top-shelf models.

Bottom line? If you’re rocking a recent CAMON device, chances are you’re not on the latest Google security patch — and TECNO’s June list seems to mean “here’s what we’ve updated lately,” not “you’re fully patched to June 2025.”
