TECNO Phantom 6 and Phantom 6 Plus Specifications and Price

As promised, TECNO Mobile launched their new flagship devices: the TECNO Phantom 6 and Phantom 6 Plus on Sunday in Dubai.

And with this launch, TECNO has officially expanded beyond the African market. They also announced a partnership with SONY.

Well it might have been  a well attended event. Plus there were a lot of personalities and media houses, but all we were waiting for was the unveiling of both the Phantom 6 and 6 Plus.

And when both were announced, some facts weren’t left unstated.

Here are some of the things TECNO prided itself in:

  • TECNO is now in more than 48 countries
  • Phantom 6 is the slimmest phone with dual cameras
  • Phantom 6 Plus is fastest deca-core smartphone.
  • TECNO also unveiled plans for the next 10 years
  • Phantom 6 was worked on for over 3 years

Anyway let’s see the specs of both devices.

Phantom 6 Specs:

The Phantom 6 is exciting. Though the 6 plus will definitely want to steal the limelight, this is the one that will be most talked about with the dual camera setup at the back.

  • Android 6.0 Marshmallow
  • 5.5″ inch AMOLED Full HD screen
  • Corning Gorilla Glass Protection
  • 3GB RAM
  • 32GB Internal storage
  • 2.0GHz Octa Core Processor
  • 13MP+5MP dual back cameras
  • 8MP front camera
  • 2700mAh battery
  • USB type-C with Light speed charge

Phantom 6 Plus Specs:

This is the beast I cannot wait to test! It has very good specs! A 21MP camera and USB type C are some of the things I cannot wait to experience.

  • Android  6.0 Marshmallow
  • 6.0 ” Full HD Screen
  • 2.0 GHz Deca Core Processor (4x 2.5 GHz + 4x 2.0 GHz + 2x 1.4GHz)
  • 4GB RAM
  • 64GB internal expandable memory
  • Dual SIM capability- Micro SIM cards.
  • 21MP Auto-Focus rear camera with dual flash
  • 8MP front-facing camera with Flash
  • 4,050mAh non-removable battery
  • Fingerprint Identification
  • USB Type C Light Speed Charge

TECNO are proving to many that they are a fast growing brand. And not only that, that they also offer very good quality smartphones at better prices than most of the competition.

I’m not sure the cost at which either will retail. But the announcements made suggested Ksh. 25,000 for the Phantom 6 and Ksh. 31,000 for the Phantom 6 Plus.

Which one are you hoping to own?

  1. Hehee, Tecno has really stepped up. Nice to see they are no longer the local champion, launching the smartphone outside Nigeria made a huge statement. But let them improve their software updates.
