Safaricom Neon Ray, Nova & Storm Budget 4G Smartphones launched in latest “#MaishaNiDigital” Campaign

Safaricom has announced three new budget Smartphones:

  • Neon Ray (4G) – Ksh. 3,999
  • Neon Nova (4G) – Ksh. 5,999
  • Neon Storm (3G) – Ksh. 3,499

This continues the company’s push to get as many people on the smartphone life as there’s still very many people who are yet to switch from feature phones.

Safaricom says, “Customers will now have more options for phone upgrades through convenient payment plans and personalized data offers in the hope of digitizing 2 million Kenyans.”

The 3 new phones are available at Safaricom shops countrywide, Safaricom dealer outlets and online via Masoko, Safaricom’s e-commerce platform. Also, today only you can get buy one Neon Ray and get another one absolutely free on Masoko.com

This new Maisha ni Digital campaign has more offers I believe compared to last year’s. I used last year’s Neon Kicka and even wrote a review here for everyone who was considering the device. These new devices are an advancement to that, coming with Android 9 Pie .

The Neon Ray has a 5” FWVGA screen, a 2MP front camera, a 5MP rear camera with Flashlight, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and a 2000mAh battery.

Screen Size 5.2’’ HD IPS MCP RAM 1GB+ROM 8GB Camera(back) 2+5MP with Flashlight System: Android Go Battery 2500mAh
Neon Nova

The Nova Nova has a 5.2’’ HD IPS display, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, 2500mAh battery and 2MP + 5MP cameras.

What are your thoughts on the new phones?

Thanks for keeping us posted. My father-in-law wanted a smartphone and I was wondering what to get him. This information came just in time for me to order the two-for-one Neon Ray offer. It was well delivered.

    Keep up the good work.
