HMD Global has announced availability of the Nokia 2.2 in the Kenyan market. The phone announced back in June is as usual part of the Android One program, and will be receiving updates for the next 3 years.
It comes with a 5.71 inch display, a small notch, a removable 3000mAh battery, and a dedicated Google Assistant button. The Helio A22 processor it ships with is a good chip, and should guarantee respectable performance for it’s price point.
Phones like the Lava Z81, TECNO Spark 3 Pro, and Huawei Y6 Prime 2019 all ship with the 12nm Helio A22 Processor.
Nokia is still pushing the idea that it’s devices get better with time. But in a world where competition offers more RAM, more Storage, and more Cameras for around the same price, HMD Global definitely needs to rethink their strategy in Kenya and African markets.
