Infinix HOT 8 and Hot 8 Lite officially on sale starting at KES. 9,999

Infinix Kenya has announced availability of the HOT 8 Series in the country. There’s a couple of different variants with this Series. So make sure you understand what you want, and what you’re buying before picking it up.

Here are the Infinix HOT 8 models that will be in Kenya:

  • HOT 8 Lite – Starts at KES. 9,999. It has 2GB RAM, 32GB storage. DOES NOT support 4G networks, and there’s an 8MP + QVGA rear camera setup.
  • HOT 8 – Starts at KES. 10,999. It has 2GB RAM, 32GB storage. Supports 4G networks, and there’s a 13MP + 2MP + QVGA rear camera setup.
  • HOT 8 (Jumia Exclusive) – Starts at KES. 11,899. It has 3GB RAM, 32GB Storage, and everything else is identical to the HOT 8.
  • All models have 5000mAh batteries.

I feel like these many variants really confuse a product. I am sure some customers pick up a device thinking they’ve got a different model, only to end up lacking certain features.

The Jumia Exclusive HOT 8 will be the best phone to pick up. At that price it competes directly with many phones ranging from KES. 12,000 to KES. 18,000.

“The Infinix HOT series aims to empower young people with boundless entertainment experience fueled by transformative mobile technology. We observe the trends of online and offline entertainment in global emerging markets where technologies apply. We found that young people desire to connect and share their life with their communities in various ways, such as social networking, gaming, streaming, and partying.” Said Benjamin Jiang, Managing Director of Infinix Mobile.

“The launch of HOT 8 is a great example of how Infinix spares no efforts in delivering on its promise. By integrating a bigger battery, a bigger display and other key features, we not only aim to satisfy consumers’ entertainment desires, but also inspire them to explore a world of creativity with one device at smaller cost.” Jiang further added.
