Infinix to launch S5 and S5 Lite in Kenya on 29th November

Infinix Kenya has announced it will be bringing the S5 and S5 Lite to Kenya on 29th November. There’s two models yes, but 4 variants. So there’s 4 phones in the S5 series. These include:

  • Infinix S5 (4GB RAM/64GB Storage) – KES. 16,499
  • Infinix S5 (6GB RAM/128GB Storage) – KES. 20,999
  • Infinix S5 Lite (4GB RAM/64GB Storage) – KES. 13,899
  • Infinix S5 Lite (3GB RAM, 32GB Storage) – KES. 13,499

From the specs, versus price, you can already tell which models are the best to pick up. The 6GB RAM, 128GB storage is an exciting deal. If you’re into getting the most storage, I think you should pick that up.

Infinix S5 Kenya

The company says the Infinix S series is designed for the young generation, who are creative, enthusiastic, and like to share and communicate with the world through various platforms. How it compares to the Infinix S4 launched earlier this year, and the new TECNO Camon 12 AIR which also features a punch-hole display.

The main difference between the Infinix S5 and the S5 Lite is the S5 has quad rear cameras while S5 Lite has triple rear cameras. The S5 4/64GB variant is available on Xpark here. The 6/128GB variant is available in select stores countrywide.

If you’re looking to get the Infinix S5 Lite, they will be available exclusively on Jumia starting December 15th.

Apart from the number of lenses at the back, and the selfie cameras, all the devices look to be the same in the major specs. So whichever device you go with, expect almost the same performance given the only major change is in RAM, while the processor remains the same. However, a full review comparing these different models should help with decision making.
