TECNO Camon 16 Premier vs Infinix Zero 8 Comparison in Pictures!

The Infinix Zero 8 and the Camon 16 Premier are currently both available in Kenya. Though branded differently, they’re the exact same device in terms of specifications. The full list of specs is listed down below if you want to go through it all. This post is just meant to help show everyone who is deciding on which device to get the physical differences between the two phones.

The main differences between these two devices are:

  1. The Camon 16 Premier runs HiOS skin over Android 10 while the Infinix Zero 8 runs XOS skin.
  2. The Camon 16 Premier has a square camera back while the Zero 8 has a tilted square – Infinix calls it a diamond design.

Everything else from the charger, to the display, to the performance is the same. Take a look at both devices in pictures.

Design:

Both are fingerprint magnets. So you’ll spend your time wiping to get that shiny look. Also, both need special care as the polycarbonate finish can scratch easily. However, from a couple of falls of the Zero 8, I can say both are really durable and won’t break easy.

Display:

Both have huge 6.8-inch displays that are 1080p in resolution. Both support 90Hz refresh rate that’s really good. And both have this enabled by default. The bezels are the same in size, and so are the chins. Both have good brightness and good colour reproduction. The front cutout for the front cameras are similar in size, and both reduce the space where notifications would appear.

Cameras:

Only the layout of the cameras is different as can be seen in the pictures above. The size of the camera bump is the same, so the devices won’t lay flat when on a table. Also, both camera bumps are plastic finishes, and can scratch easily.

Fingerprint scanner:

The side of the phone has a fingerprint scanner. Both respond really fast. Both are quite accurate. The volume rockers are above the scanner. On the other side there’s the SIM Card tray with two SIM slots and one MicroSD card slot.

Ports:

At the bottom, everything is the same. A speaker, a USB Type-C port, a microphone, and a headphone jack. Both phones support fast 33W fast charging.
