Infinix NOTE 8 and NOTE 8i Pre-orders start on October 12th

Update:

The upcoming Infinix NOTE 8 series will seemingly be launching quite early. The company has announced pre-orders in Kenya will start on October 12th and run through to October 25th. Those preordering stand to win free gifts worth KES. 5,000 including wireless earbuds, and a smartwatch. Maybe this points out to new earbuds and smartwatches from the company, we aren’t sure.

There will be two devices in the new NOTE 8 Series:

  • Infinix NOTE 8
  • Infinix NOTE 8i

We already have the specifications for the Infinix NOTE 8 listed below, and you can expect your first look at the device very soon, hopefully. The company has kept sort of the same form factor as with the Infinix NOTE 7 that launched 6 months ago. We have the same display, with the same resolution.

However, there are some major changes with the NOTE 8 compared to the Infinix NOTE 7:

  • There’s now a 64MP main camera instead of the 48MP on the NOTE 7
  • There’s now a dual front camera system, instead of the single 16MP camera on the NOTE 7
  • There’s now a larger 5200mAh battery with 18W fast charging. That’s 200mAh more.
  • The processor is now the Helio G80 instead of the G70 High Game on the NOTE 7.
  • There’s also, finally, now USB type-C!

I had in the specifications post said we may never see the NOTE 8i, but given it is available for pre-order means Infinix is for real bringing it over to the Kenyan market. The prices haven’t been shared though. So we can assume the two devices will be almost similarly priced as with the NOTE 7 and NOTE 7 lite.

How to pre-order Infinix NOTE 8 and NOTE 8i:

  1. Walk into any of Infinix’s outlets countrywide
  2. Deposit KES. 3,000 for either the NOTE 8 or the NOTE 8i
  3. Get your pre-order gift immediately
  4. Wait for launch to get a notification on when to pick up your device.
