The Infinix NOTE 8 is launching officially in Kenya. The new device comes at a time when companies really need to do a lot more to reach potential buyers. We all saw the realme launch, and I feel like that approach made other companies want to try and do more, reach more people, and be more glamorous while at it. That’s why we are now seeing them venture into mainstream media for their launch events, not just the usual advertisements.
If you want to watch the Infinix NOTE 8 launch, tune in to NTV and KTN tonight from 8 pm. This should be the first major launch by a company on mainstream media. Only itel, also a Transsion company, have done the same a few weeks ago with their rebrand campaign, but of course, Infinix being a bigger player makes this more significant.
For those who’ve already moved away from local media, the stream will also be live through Infinix’s Facebook and YouTube Pages.
It is a good thing seeing companies try and have worthwhile launches where we see them talk about the devices, the improvements, and their general plans for both the customers and the market. Of course, the pandemic, and Apple’s really cool events have contributed to this. But these launch events, when properly done, are opportunities where potential customers can really see whether or not a company is serious, and whether or not they should buy their devices. These are opportunities where companies can shift a market’s mindset on their brand.
This year, Infinix has gone all in on reach with their NOTE 8 including sponsoring a video on MKBHD, one of the world’s most watched tech channels on YouTube.
