OPPO Kenya has officially brought in the new OPPO A93 to the market. The device will immediately be available across OPPO’s brand stores and dealers for KES. 30,999.

The A93 seems to be the exact device as the OPPO Reno 4. That’s in the display, the body, the weight, the design, the ports, everything. However the differences are in the camera setup, and the processor.
The body is 7,48mm thin, and it weights only 164g. OPPO says it has used an “industry-leading design” to optimise and fit the mainboard, battery and other components into its slim design. The company also says that for the first time in a smartphone, the OPPO A93 introduces a thin 220º Edge that also offers a more comfortable and smoother in-hand feel.
The new AMOLED panel is a welcome departure from the OPPO A92‘s IPS LCD panel. The device is now much thinner, and the fingerprint scanner is under the display. OPPO says the device boasts of a 90.7% screen-to-body ratio and has the smallest dual punch-hole camera diameter at just 3.7mm.
The A93 brings in something special for the battery. So, in additon to the 18W fast charging, there’s now AI Night charging which OPPO says uses Artificial intelligence to learn user’s sleep habits and to charge the phone to 80%, hold it, and then top it up when user is about to wake up. This will help lengthen battery life of the phone over time. There’s also super-power saving that turns display black and white and can help you push the last 5% battery on your phone for a while.
There’s a Mediatek Helio P95 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. The air gestures from the RENO 4 are also here. Since we have the device in for review, you can expect a full conclusive coverage over the next weeks.
