TECNO Mobile is updating its Spark line up with the new Spark 7 Series. First from the series is the Spark 7p which comes with a 16MP Triple rear-camera setup, the Helio G70 processor, and a bigger 6.8-inch display. TECNO has said the device will soon be available in the global market.
It seems TECNO will be sort of skipping the Spark 6 Series. We saw a couple of Spark 6 devices in some markets but they didn’t give it lots of attention. The last major Spark Series launch was the Spark 5 Series where there was the Spark 5 Pro, Spark 5, and the Spark 5 Air. We may see such a lineup of devices with the new Spark 7 Series.
With the Spark 7p, this is the first time TECNO is bringing 90Hz high refresh rates to their Spark series. It is the first time there’s a high refresh rate panel on a normally budget device from TECNO. The company says users will enjoy the smooth, snappy, and refreshing experience with the 6.8-inch clear screen offering 90Hz at an accessible price.
Of the cameras, TECNO says the Triple rear camera setup includes a new AI lens that enables users to take striking portraits even in dim surroundings. There’s also a super night mode which TECNO says helps capture exclusive moments enabling users to see their world brighter.
TECNO has also included Smile Snapshot, which incorporates facial recognition intelligence allowing the users to capture that perfect smile or a glimpsing moment in an instant. Meanwhile, Video Bokeh, natural Video Beautify and a Slow Motion shooting at 240fps provide the current, technologically savvy generation with the chance to channel their inner photographer through these intelligently adapted features.
The phone comes with 4GB RAM, with either 64GB or 128GB storage. There’s a 5000mAh battery and a dedicated 820MHz graphics unit to ensure app loads, animations and games are smoother and faster than before.
TECNO says that with HiOS 7.5 over Android 11, there’s an Auto Dark Theme, instant chat bubbles so you don’t need to switch between apps, and App Twins to help you run two social media accounts without needing different phones.
The phone also comes with Bluetooth Audio Share 2.0 which enables users to easily share their music and make a setup for a party with friends and family. The speakers are also Dirac Stereo sound ready.
