Infinix has added to the HOT 10 Series a new device called the HOT 10S. It is meant to be the sort of higher-end model of the series with features not seen on Infinix devices before like NFC. It also brings to the line-up for the first time, a 90Hz high-refresh rate panel for smooth scrolling, and fast response.
So, now in the HOT 10 Series these are the devices Infinix will be offering:
- Infinix HOT 10 Lite
- Infinix HOT 10
- Infinix HOT 10 Play
- Infinix HOT 10S
The are however two variants of the new HOT 10S. One that comes with NFC (Near Field Communication) and one that doesn’t. We are not sure which one will be coming to the Kenyan market. Either way, one of them will be launching here soon.
The normal HOT 10S without NFC features 6GB RAM, with 128GB storage. It also has a huge 6000mAh battery. Since NFC use is not big locally, this could be the device Infinix Kenya brings. And that’s coz the NFC model cuts on battery size and RAM offering only 4GB RAM with a 5000mAh battery.
Infinix will be pushing the new HOT 10S as a powerful budget-gaming smartphone. That’s the reason for the high-refresh rate panel, the huge storage option, the Helio G85 processor with a 1GHz GPU, and the extra 6GB of RAM. Those specs should offer a good gaming experience. The only hold back for many will be the 720p+ panel that Infinix is sticking with.
The other hold back will be the fact that the phone will still use a MicroUSB port and will still be charging at 10W. While the argument will be the huge 6000mAh battery is enough for long periods, it would be good to see at least 18W fast charging as we saw on the base HOT 10.
