Realme C25Y with 50MP Camera, 128GB Storage Launched in Kenya

Realme has announced the introduction of the Realme C25Y to the Kenyan market. The phone comes with 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, a Unisoc T610 processor, and a 5000mAh battery. The highlight of the device is the 50MP main camera which is a nice touch. The phone price is set at KES 19,000.

Public relations and marketing manager for Realme Kenya says, “The demand for high quality, reliable and high-performance phones that are budget-friendly is on the rise which has seen our C series model at realme become the bestselling model in the market. Hence the launch of the new realme C25Y an addition to the C series catalogue. And a step towards the expanding footprint of the Realme brand across the Eastern Africa smartphone market.”

The C25Y’s features a triple set of cameras with a 50MP main lens together with a Macro and B&W lens. Realme says it is the first phone in their C-series to feature a 50MP lens. The company promises clearer photos, and features like AI beauty, HDR mode, panoramic view mode, portrait mode, Timelapse function, expert mode, and several filters.

At the front there’s an 8MP selfie camera with AI beauty which the company promises will offer stunning quality and satisfying selfies.

5000mAh plus fast charge

The phone features a 5000mAh battery which Realme says can last for 48 days on standby mode. There’s a super power saving mode which allows user to still maintain the basic functionality of there phones using up to six common apps and remaining connected while saving as much as possible on battery.

The company also has a feature called screen battery optimisation which it says increases the smartphone’s endurance by lowering some display effects, and enables sleep standby optimisation to save power by instructing phone to run on lower mode when users are asleep.

Unisoc T610 Processor

The phone comes with an Otta-core 12nm Unison T610 processor that can clock 1.8GHz. It has two Arm Cortex-A75 tune at up to 1.8GHz, and six Arm Cortex-A55 also running at 1.8GHz. Graphics are handled by Arm Mali G52 GPU tuned at 614.4MHz.

Realme says ompared to competing products in this segment, the score of the Unisoc T610 processor goes higher, delivering a smooth gaming experience seamlessly.
