Kenyan rapper, King Kaka, has been named by itel Kenya – the consumer electronic and lifestyle product company – as its official brand ambassador. The company has said the signing of the agreement with the famous rapper is informed by the brand’s desire to enhance consumer engagement and endear more fans to their community.
The unveiling was staged offline at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Nairobi with a live stream through itel Kenya’s social media pages.
itel Kenya’s choice of King Kaka as the face of the brand brings to bear connecting similarities between their target audience and acceptance, with both brands serving mass markets.
itel Kenya is a leader in the smartphone mass market in Kenya and Africa at large for phones below KES 10,000 offering reliable and affordable smartphones for everyone. King Kaka on the other hand makes popular music for the streets, rolling out hits they can relate with.
King Kaka also expressed his profound joy to walk the journey with itel. He stated that this is more than a mere partnership; it is a relationship that would bring satisfaction and happiness to our audiences. “I look forward to the great things we will do together in the days ahead,” he said.

Exactly a year ago, itel unveiled Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz as its African Brand Ambassador. The company has in that period launched a couple of devices including the A37, the P37, A25 Pro, A58 Series and more. A select number of itel devices are also now available through Safaricom Lipa Mdogo Mdogo.
