itel has introduced to the Kenyan market the new itel P38 which is headlined by their local brand ambassador, King Kaka. The new itel P38 series is a follow up to the P37 Series. There are two models in the series: itel P38 and itel P38 Pro. The difference between the two being RAM and Storage.
The itel P38 is immediately available across retail shops and online. Meanwhile, the itel P38 Pro will be available later on this month.
Design and Display:
The 6.6 inch display features a water-drop notch with narrow bezels bringing about a 90% screen to body ratio.
Itel says the P38 features a stylish unibody design. It has a plastic body. At the back there’s an upgraded fingerprint scanner. The company says the smooth and rounded design gives it a nice aesthetic which is also comfortable to hold. The dimensions of the device are 166 x 76 x 8.7mm, and it weighs 191 grams. You can pick it up in Galaxy Blue, Nebula Black, and Spruce Green colours.
The rear camera is 8 Megapixels. It has an automatic control tool for clear shots in any lighting condition, and its front-facing 5 MP camera can take nice selfies. The cameras include an LED flash, the Bokeh Effect, and a panorama mode.
Software and Hardware:
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 processor and runs Google’s Android 11 Go Edition. For the graphics, there’s a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. There’s 32GB internal storage – which is expandable using an external MicroSD card. There’s also 2GB RAM storage.
Network and battery:
There’s a 5000 mAh battery which itel says will keep users connected for a long time. The battery supports 15W fast charging. The phone has dual SIM slots, supports 3G networks, has an FM radio, Bluetooth, and a micro USB port.
