TECNO names Eliud Kipchoge Brand Ambassador for Phantom X2

TECNO has named Eliud Kipchoge, the greatest marathoner ever, as the Brand Ambassador for the new Phantom X2 series. The unveiling happened at the Global Trade Centre (GTC) towers in Nairobi.

Kipchoge will headline the new series which includes two devices: Phantom X2 and Phantom X2 Pro. The devices are powered by Mediatek’s Dimensity 9000 5G chipset. This is paired with 8GB RAM for the regular and 12GB RAM for the Pro version.

The phone which was launched globally in December of 2022, is set to be officially launched in Kenya later this month. Pre-orders are open and customers can put in their requests between January 5th and January 18th 2023.

How to pre-order TECNO Phantom X2 Series:

  1. Deposit either KES 6,000 or KES 8,000 for the X2 or the X2 Pro respectively at TECNO’s stores
  2. You can also do so through Jumia, Safaricom, or TECNO’s website
  3. Once preorders end and you complete payment, you will get the phone, a leather backpack worth KES 3,000, TECNO B1 Pro earphones worth KES 3,899, and a TECNO smartwatch worth KES 5,999.

Mr. Eliud Kipchoge said Innovation is the most important part for anybody to become better. “I am excited to partner with the world’s pioneer in terms of innovation and technology to achieve this.” Mr Kichoge reiterated that, that environmental protection is the most important part of protecting the next generation.

He said that the PHANTOM devices are made from recyclable materials which makes the partnership golden. Mr. Kipchoge also mentioned that he has seen the TECNO mobile devices on the market for about 10 years.

Mr Kipchoge plans to work together with the TECNO PHANTOM team to bring more to members of the public and ensure that they are well informed.
