Infinix Posts 18.8% Growth, Kenya Among Top Markets in 5 Straight Quarters of Gains

In a significant achievement for the brand, Infinix has recorded five consecutive quarters of positive year-over-year (YoY) growth in global smartphone shipments. According to IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker, Infinix experienced an 18.8% YoY increase in shipments during Q2 2024, compared to the same period in 2023. This accomplishment underscores Infinix’s growing influence in the global smartphone market and its commitment to innovation.

Securing Top 5 Positions in Over 20 Key Markets

Infinix has continued to strengthen its market presence, securing top five market share positions in more than 20 key regions globally. Among its most notable achievements, the brand maintained its No. 1 position in major markets such as the Philippines and Pakistan, while recording impressive growth in emerging regions, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Algeria, and Saudi Arabia. These regions experienced YoY shipment increases ranging from 50% to an astounding 469% in Q2 2024.

Market Performance Highlights:

  • Kenya: Infinix saw a 6.0% quarter-on-quarter increase in shipments in Q2 2024, securing the 4th position in the market.
  • Indonesia: The brand’s market share in Indonesia reached 14.4% in Q2 2024, securing 5th place. Infinix grew by 24.0% quarter-on-quarter and 55.9% YoY, becoming the only top-five brand in Indonesia to maintain consistent growth.
  • Philippines: Infinix remains the market leader with a 16.1% share.
  • Pakistan: A record-breaking 1.1 million units were shipped in Q2, representing a 272.3% YoY increase.
  • Algeria: Infinix’s market share surged from 8.5% at the end of 2023 to 27.0% in Q2 2024, marking an impressive 469.1% YoY growth.
  • Saudi Arabia: Infinix achieved a 50.7% YoY increase in shipments, securing 4th place with a 6.8% market share.
  • Tanzania: Infinix maintained a strong position, holding 19.7% of the market share and securing 3rd place.
  • Egypt: A 21.2% quarter-on-quarter increase in shipments solidified Infinix’s 4th place in the market.
  • Malaysia: With 268.5% YoY growth, Infinix rose to the 4th position, surpassing brands like Realme, Apple, and OPPO.

In the first half of 2024, the brand launched its flagship NOTE 40 series, which introduced groundbreaking features such as the proprietary Cheetah X1 chip, All-Round FastCharge 2.0, and Infinix MagKit.
