Ahead of the 2025 Spotify Wrapped and hot on the heels of YouTube Music Recap, Samsung East Africa has officially entered the annual year-in-review game.

In a move that mirrors the popular digital summary videos, Samsung Mobile Kenya posted a video of its 2025 innovations. The recap provides a concise, quarter-by-quarter breakdown of every major mobile and home appliance that hit the East African market, with Galaxy AI being the undisputed headliner for the year.

The summary clearly shows Samsung’s strategy for 2025 was focused on democratizing Artificial Intelligence by pushing the technology beyond its premium flagship devices.

A year defined by AI, from flagship to fan edition

The video segments the launches into four key quarters:

Q1: The AI foundation

The year kicked off strong in January with the launch of the Galaxy S25 Series. This was the official East Africa debut of Agentic AI, making the S25 series the industry’s first true AI companion, featuring tools like the Circle to Search with Google functionality and a commitment to seven years of OS and security updates.

Complementing the mobile launch was the Washer Machine Combo WF90F, introducing the Bespoke AI Washer with features like AI EcoBubble for smarter, more efficient cleaning.

Q2: Awesome intelligence for all

Samsung’s mid-range A-Series embraced AI in Q2 (April-June) with the launch of the Galaxy A56, A36, and A26. As expected, Samsung included Circle to Search with Google on these more accessible devices, confirming that AI was no longer just a premium feature. On the home front, the Bespoke AI Refrigerator RS80/RS90 arrived, featuring smart connectivity via SmartThings.

Q3: The ecosystem expands

The third quarter (July-September) saw AI woven into the wider ecosystem:

  • Vision AI (TVs): New TV models introduced Samsung Vision AI, with the standout feature being the industry-leading promise of 7 years of OS upgrades for free on the Tizen platform, guaranteeing a future-proof smart TV experience.
  • Wearables & tablets: The Galaxy Watch 8 Series and the Galaxy Tab S10 FE both launched with deeper AI integration, further embedding the Galaxy AI experience across all major device categories.

Q4: Finishing strong with the FE

Samsung capped off the year in Q4 (October-December) by focusing on value and accessibility:

  • The budget-friendly Galaxy A17 and Galaxy A07 series launched, further expanding the reach of the new, slimmer design language and AI features like Gemini.
  • The final, highly-anticipated launch was the Galaxy S25 FE (Fan Edition). Positioned as a value powerhouse, it offered the core Galaxy AI experience and a powerful Exynos 2400 chipset at a sub-KES 100,000 price point, bringing the flagship experience to a wider audience.

By summarizing its 2025 launches in this digestible, “Wrapped”-style video, Samsung has successfully highlighted its shift from a hardware-first company to an AI-first ecosystem. The central message is clear: AI, innovation, and long-term support are now standard across their entire product portfolio, from premium phones to large home appliances.
