Airtel doubles Amazing Daily data bundle to 4GB at 99 bob

In 2017, 1GB of Airtel data cost KES 100. In 2026, this same amount gives you 4GB.

Airtel Kenya is turning up the heat on the competition. In a move that solidifies its reputation as the value leader in the Kenyan telco space, the company has officially overhauled its Amazing Daily data plan, offering significantly more bang for your buck.

The headline change focuses on the popular Daily 99 plan. While Safaricom continues to tighten their belt, Airtel is expanding theirs. For KES 99, users now receive 4GB of data, valid for 24 hours. This is a massive jump from the previous offering of 2GB for the same price, effectively giving customers 2GB of extra data at no additional cost.

It’s also four times the data you got for the same amount back in 2017.

More data, same price

This update is clearly aimed at heavy users who need a high-speed fix for streaming, downloading, or tethering without committing to a weekly or monthly subscription. By doubling the volume to 4GB, Airtel is making a strong case for being the primary SIM for data-hungry Kenyans.

If 4GB is more than you need for a quick session, Airtel also offers a high-value half-price tier. You can now get 2GB of data for KES 50.

There is a small catch to keep in mind: unlike the 99 plan which lasts a full 24 hours from the time of purchase, this KES 50 bundle is valid until midnight of the same day. It’s a perfect top-up option for those who need to get through a workday or an evening of browsing without breaking a KES 100 note.

How to get the offer

Airtel has kept the barrier to entry low. You can access these new rates via the traditional USSD method (*544#) or through their app on Android and iOS.

In a market where data costs are a constant pain point for consumers, Airtel’s decision to double its capacity at the KES 99 price point is a bold swipe at Safaricom’s dominance. Whether you’re a student on a budget or a remote worker needing a backup, these rates are currently the ones to beat.
