The vivo V70 FE is now officially available in Kenya. After being teased earlier this month, the phone goes on sale at KES 57,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model and KES 67,999 for the 8GB + 512GB variant. Both are available through vivo’s retail stores and official online channels across the country.

The V70 FE joins the vivo V70, which went on sale in early April at KES 84,999, giving buyers a more affordable entry point into vivo’s 2026 V-series lineup.

A 200MP Camera Built for Sharing

The V70 FE’s main camera packs a 200MP sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS). That resolution means there is serious detail to work with, particularly useful when you want to crop into a travel photo or pull a tight frame from a wider group shot without losing clarity.

Alongside the main sensor is an 8MP ultrawide for landscapes and wider scenes, while a 32MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording, which is a welcome addition at this price point.

vivo has also loaded the V70 FE with a suite of AI-powered imaging tools. AI Magic Landscape can apply creative effects like snow or aurora overlays to scenes when it detects suitable conditions. AI Magic Weather adds atmosphere-inspired adjustments. These are fun, shareable touches designed for users who want their travel photos to stand out on social media without having to open a separate editing app.

Battery Life That Keeps Up

If there is one spec that will resonate most with Kenyan buyers, it is the battery. The V70 FE ships with a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon cell, one of the largest you will find in this segment. For context, that is 500mAh more than the standard V70’s already impressive 6,500mAh battery.

In practical terms, this is a phone built to get through a full day of heavy use and still have charge left over. For users who are regularly away from a power socket, whether commuting, travelling, or simply dealing with inconsistent power supply, that kind of endurance matters.

When you do need to charge, the included 90W FlashCharge adapter brings the phone from empty to full in roughly 60 minutes. There is also bypass charging, which powers the phone directly from the wall during gaming sessions to reduce heat buildup on the battery.

A Display Made for Content

The 6.83-inch AMOLED display runs at a 1.5K resolution (1260 x 2800 pixels) with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. Scrolling feels smooth, videos look vibrant, and at up to 1,900 nits of peak brightness, the screen remains comfortably readable outdoors.

That screen size also makes the V70 FE a solid companion for streaming content, browsing, and reviewing photos before posting.

Design That Stands Out

The V70 FE arrives in two colourways for Kenya: Ocean Blue and Muse Purple. vivo has gone for what it calls a Dynamic Ring Design around the camera module, giving the rear of the phone a distinctive, modern look.

At 7.59mm thin, the phone sits comfortably in hand despite the large display and battery. The bezels have been trimmed to 1.86mm on either side, which means more screen and less frame when you are viewing content or framing a shot.

The phone also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings, meaning it is dust-tight and resistant to both water submersion and high-pressure water jets. For a phone in this price range, that level of protection is a genuine differentiator. You can take it to the beach, get caught in the rain, or shoot near water features without worry.

Smooth Day-to-Day Performance

The V70 FE runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7360-Turbo, a 4nm chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage. Day-to-day performance is smooth: apps open quickly, multitasking between social media, camera, and messaging is seamless, and the 120Hz display keeps everything feeling fluid.

The phone ships with OriginOS 6 built on Android 16. It is a polished software experience with useful touches like AI-powered writing assistance, smart photo organisation, and customisable interface options. vivo is also promising six years of security updates, which adds long-term peace of mind.

Pricing and Availability

Here is how the V70 FE stacks up in Kenya:

VariantPrice
8GB + 256GBKES 57,999
8GB + 512GBKES 67,999

Both variants are available now at vivo retail stores and through official online channels.

For buyers who placed a KES 2,000 pre-order deposit, that amount counts as KES 5,000 towards the final price, saving an effective KES 3,000.

Who Is This Phone For?

The V70 FE is pitched squarely at socially connected users who want a phone that keeps up with their pace. If you are the kind of person who captures group photos at meetups, shoots travel content, posts frequently, and needs a phone that will not die before the day ends, this is built for that lifestyle.

At under KES 60,000 for the base model, it brings together a high-resolution camera, exceptional battery life, a vivid display, and water resistance in a package that does not ask you to stretch your budget into flagship territory.

The vivo V70 FE is available now across Kenya.
