Xiaomi Smart Band 11 launches with sleep HRV and a brighter screen

Xiaomi has launched the Smart Band 11 in China. The band goes on sale on 7 September at 10am Beijing time.

The Smart Band 11 is the eleventh version of Xiaomi’s fitness tracker, the cheapest line of wearables the company makes. It is a band rather than a watch: a 1.72-inch AMOLED screen on a strap that counts steps, tracks workouts, reads heart rate and mirrors phone notifications. It runs HyperOS 4, the same software base as Xiaomi’s phones.

Four versions went up at once:

• All-Metal Edition: about USD 59, about KES 7,665

Prices went up. The Smart Band 10 launched in June 2025 at CNY 269, CNY 319 and CNY 379, so each Smart Band 11 costs CNY 20 to CNY 30 more than the model it replaces.

What’s new?

The new health feature is sleep heart rate variability (HRV) monitoring. Heart rate variability is the variation in the gap between heartbeats, and tracking it overnight gives a rough read on recovery and stress. Xiaomi pairs it with what it calls AI sleep interpretation, which turns the night’s data into written recommendations rather than a chart.

The screen is the other change. It is the same 1.72-inch, 212 x 520 AMOLED panel as last year with 2mm borders, but peak brightness goes from 1,500 nits to 2,000.

The body is thinner and lighter, at 9.99mm and 15.58g against 10.95mm and 15.95g on the Smart Band 10. Xiaomi has added a Unibody all-metal version alongside the ceramic one, and says iOS syncing now carries fewer restrictions on notifications and alerts.

What stayed the same

The battery is still 233mAh with the same 21-day rating, so the thinner case did not cost any capacity. Water resistance is still 5ATM, the exercise mode count is still over 150, and the sensors still cover heart rate, blood oxygen, stress and menstrual cycle tracking. NFC still only does offline payments and access cards inside China.

When Kenya gets it?

It’ll come some time later on. The Smart Band 10 sells here. However, we expect it to cost more than the converted figures above after taxes and markups.

We also expect the cheaper Smart Band 11 Active launched recently to also be available. The Smart Band 11 Active comes with a 1.47 inch TFT screen instead of AMOLED. It supports 50 exercise modes instead of 150, and features a 300mAh battery, and costs about KES 3,500.
