According to leaks, the next iPhone Air should launch around March 2027. It will now feature a dual camera setup at the back. Both will be 48MP. The device will also take up the new A20 Pro Chip powering the latest iPhone 18 Pro Series. There will also be a bigger battery, about 3,500 mAh.
By “leak” we mean details from an analyst, a tipster and press reports, not from Apple. The table says how many of them stand behind each line.
The iPhone Air launched in September 2025 at USD 999 or about KES 130,000. Apple raised the US price to USD 1,099 or about KES 143,000 earlier this month, along with the rest of its devices.

The current Air has 3,149mAh. The leaked 3,500mAh is 351mAh more, about 11%.
The current Air has one rear camera, a 48MP main lens, and its 2x zoom is a crop of that one sensor. The leaks add a 48MP ultra-wide next to the main camera.
In addition to the A20 Pro chip, leaks point to the new iPhone Air 2027 also using a second-generation N2 chip for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and a C2 chip for 5G.
Will it be the only ultra-thin flagship?
The leaks say it could be, and nobody can confirm that either way. No other maker has confirmed an ultra-thin flagship for 2027. Samsung reportedly cancelled the successor to its 5.8mm Galaxy S25 Edge after weak sales. A Galaxy S27 Edge has since been rumoured by two X users, but there’s no concrete evidence of the same.
Honor’s 6.1mm Magic8 Pro Air went on sale in China in January. The latest Magic9 phones announced on 28th September didn’t name any Air this time round. So, iPhone Air 2027 may as well be the only ultra-thin flagship of that time period. We wait.
