Now, TECNO is back with its spiritual successor: the Spark Go 2, freshly launched in India.

While TECNO Mobile Kenya hasn’t made anything official yet, the pattern is familiar — we should expect the Spark Go 2 to show up locally in a few weeks, if not sooner.

The Spark Go 2 keeps a similar budget-friendly core but offers some modern touches that make it feel like a solid step forward — especially in design.

• Display Upgrade: The new model bumps the refresh rate up from 90Hz to 120Hz, still on a 6.6-inch HD+ LCD panel (technically 6.67 inches, if we’re splitting hairs). Same resolution (720p), but smoother interactions.
• Design Glow-Up: While the 2024 model looked clean and practical, the Spark Go 2 sports a refreshed look with a pill-shaped camera bump that gives off serious iPhone 16 vibes. It’s a subtle flex, but it works.
• Chipset Shift: Last year’s Spark Go used the Unisoc T606, while this year’s version comes with the Unisoc T7250 (a.k.a. T615) — a modest upgrade, but still very much in the entry-level lane.

What Will TECNO Spark Go 2 Cost in Kenya?

Here’s where things get a little murky. In India, the 4/64GB Spark Go 2 variant is priced at INR 6,999 — roughly KES 10,500. That’s quite the bargain.

However, when the Spark Go 2024 launched in Kenya, the 3/64GB model went for KES 17,499, so don’t expect the Spark Go 2 to land here with Indian pricing. That said, if TECNO Mobile Kenya follows the same sub-20K pricing playbook, we could be looking at KES 12,000 to 18,000 depending on configuration, making it a direct competitor to other potential arrivals, the Infinix Smart 10 and Redmi 15C.
