TECNO might be going the Infinix way with a new series of sub-10k smartphones dubbed SPARK. Yeah, that’s the best name they could get after Infinix called their new series Smart. Seems like the affordable market is about to get saturated by these two brands owned by Transsion.
Anyway, there’ll be two TECNO SPARKs in a line of series that will most likely be replacing the TECNO BOOM series:
You’ll remember I wrote a post questioning why TECNO haven’t updated the Boom J8 which happened to be a smartphone I really loved. Maybe this is the answer.
The difference between TECNO SPARK and Infinix SMART is that the TECNO series has kept the fingerprint scanner.
The TECNO SPARK K7 will have a 5.5″ HD display, a 1.3GHz Quad Core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage, 13MP back camera, 5MP front camera and 3000mAh battery.
The TECNO SPARK Plus K9 will have a 6 inch HD display, with 2GB RAM and a 3400mAh battery. The other specs will be the same. Both will run Android 7 Nougat with HiOS skin on top.

This is one lovely device
TECNO still making phones with 1GB RAM? Same disappointment I felt with the Infinix Smart. Very unfortunate.
They’re cheap smartphones to be fair
