If you’re scavenging for Black Friday deals, just know there’s many of us doing the same. I don’t know what sort of deals you’re looking for, but if you are the type focusing on smartphone deals, maybe Xiaomi’s prices will catch your eye.
The company said a while back that they would bring the Pocophone F1, the Mi Max 3 and the Mi Bands from beginning of November. We are yet to see any of these being available in the market. I personally really wanted to buy the Mi Max 3.
Anyway, Xiaomi is offering some of the best prices vs specs on Jumia for smartphones. They are not quite Black Friday deals as one would expect with over 50% off. But they are worth considering in the frenzy we are in where most deals aren’t really deals.
Budget Market – Xiaomi Redmi 6A
This phone is top on my list of best below 10k phones. The 2GB RAM and 32GB Storage version is now Ksh. 10,500. So check it out here. Read my review too:
‘Mid-range’ Area – Xiaomi Redmi 6
The Redmi 6 and 6A can confuse many people because of that naming format. This is a smartphone deal worth checking out because for Ksh. 12,999 you’re getting 3GB RAM and 64GB storage. Don’t know if there’s a company offering that much storage at this price point. There’s also a dual 12MP+5MP rear cameras setup. Check it out here.
‘High-end’ Range – Xiaomi Mi A2
Apart from the fact that this runs stock Android, which is definitely a huge plus, there’s also 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage and crazy spec’d cameras: 20MP selfie camera, and a dual 12MP+20MP rear setup. Being part of Android One program, you’re sure the device will be getting Android 9 Pie soon. Xiaomi are selling it for Ksh. 28,999. Check it out here.
Remember the official Xiaomi Store on Jumia is here. You can check out any of the other phones they are selling and choose a deal you think is better than the ones I’ve listed up here.
Also, do share any Black Friday deals you find around so that we can all get something before the weekend is over.
