Infinix Smart 3 Plus and Smart 3 now available in Kenya starting at Ksh. 7,999

The Infinix Smart 3 and Smart 3 Plus are officially available countrywide at the recommended retail prices of Ksh. 7,999 and Ksh. 11,999. You can get either of the devices online from Infinix Mall.

Infinix has this year already announced a couple of budget phones including the Infinix Hot 7 in the Hot Series, the Infinix S4 in the S series, and now the Smart 3 in the Smart Series. The new phones are a follow up to last years Smart 2 and Smart 2 Pro.

Both models support 4G networks, unlike with the Hot 7 where only the Pro variant supported 4G networks. So if you’ve been in search for something with 4G, 16GB storage and Android 9 Pie for less than 8k, the Smart 3 is one device to look at.

The Smart 3 Plus looks in some ways like the Infinix S4 in design and with the triple camera setup. I love the design of the S4, and I can’t wait to see if Infinix went with the same body build and glittery finish, or it is just the renders.

In the official announcement, Infinix says, ” …(We) always pay attention to the pop culture for the young consumers in emerging markets, to bring the fashion and constant creativity through design. The Smart 3 Plus mirror-like slimmer design, has taken the trending style and more chic than ever smart series before, showing young people’s
personality and enthusiasm for life.

With its specs, the Smart 3 is in direct competition with TECNO Spark 3 Pro, Huawei Y6 Prime, Lava Z81 and the Infinix Hot 7. The normal Smart 3 on the other hand is competing with all Android GO smartphones currently in the market.
