TECNO Camon 12 Series now available in Kenya. Here’s the Prices.

The TECNO Camon 12 Series, which is made up of three phones, is now available in Kenya. All of the phones should now be on sale through TECNO branded shops countrywide. Here’s the prices:

  • TECNO Camon 12 Air – KES. 13,499
  • TECNO Camon 12 – KES. 15,499
  • TECNO Camon 12 PRO – KES. 19,499

If you’re wondering which one you should get between the three, just go with the Camon 12 PRO. Why? The specs. Seriously, the Camon 12 PRO is just a Phantom 9 by all means. And here you’ll be picking it up for way less than the price of the Phantom 9.

The Camon 12 PRO has 6GB RAM, and an under-the-display fingerprint scanner. It’s only major setback is the 3500mAh battery. I am yet to use it, but I don’t feel like that would be a major drawback. I’ve seen over 8hrs screen-on time on TECNO phones like the Spark 3 Pro with 3500mAh battery. Given this is an AMOLED screen, I could bet on almost same screen-on times.

One thing I don’t like is that these devices don’t come with USB type-C. There’s also no fast charging. And by fast charging I mean real fast charging. Something like 18W. 10W is slow charging by all means in 2019.

I’ve got the Camon 12, and I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now, so look forward to that review in a few days. In the mean time, you can watch the unboxing video here:

Both the Camon 12 and Camon 12 Air pack more battery at 4000mAh.

The Camon 12 Air is going to be one of the best selling phones from this series. It has a punch-hole display – something we previously thought was a reserve of high-end flagships. And it packs some good specs too for the asking price. I bet you, with good fronting, you’ll see many people carrying this phone around. That’s if Infinix don’t bring the similarly spec’d Infinix S5 in the market soon.

  1. The camon 12 air is descent for its price. I’d rather get the xiaomi Note 7 for the price of the camon 12, it has 18W quick charge 4, a qualcom 660 + 4gb RAM 48mp camera with Eis over 1080p, Corning gorilla glass 5 back and front upgradable to android 10, it is basically a midrange phone if only people knew?
