OPPO Reno 4 launching in Kenya on 21st September

Smartphone brand OPPO has announced plans to unveil its latest device under the Reno Series. The Reno 4 will be launched here on 21st September with sales expected to open up soon after. It will be an online launch. The company says the Reno 4 will make it easy to capture creative portraits and imaginative videos under the tag, “Clearly the Best You.”

The OPPO Reno 4 features the Snapdragon 765G chipset whose standout feature is in-built 5G support. Though we don’t have the 5G network in the Kenyan market as at now, it seems Reno 4 buyers will be among the first to access 5G speeds when network providers here start 5G rollout.

Under the Reno 4 series, there are two devices currently, the Reno 4 and the Reno 4 Pro. OPPO hasn’t been clear on which of the two devices they’re bringing in to the market. However, given we only saw the Reno 3, not the Reno 3 Pro launch in Kenya, we can expect the same scenario with the Reno 4.

“With the Reno 4 we have ensured that the device can meet the ever-changing requirements of the young trendsetting generation and also keep them up-to-date with the latest trends in smartphone technology,” said Muthoni Wachira, Head of Communications & Projects at OPPO Kenya.

In the release, OPPO says that the Reno 4 is packed with innovative features and that it pushes the boundary by striking a delicate balance between a slim and sleek design. The device will be available in two colours: Galactic Blue and Space Black.

The company also says that for the first time in Reno Series they will be introducing a brand new design technique called “Reno Glow.” They explain this to be an innovative back cover design that combines a matte fingerprint-resistant texture with subtle glittery details, which gives the Galactic Blue colour a more vibrant and glossier look.
