Vivo Smartphone has said it is on course to launch the Vivo V21 in Kenya this month. The selfie-flagship, as the company describes it, will be an addition to the V-series devices already available locally. A few days ago, the company slashed prices of the Vivo V19 from 40k to 27k.
Vivo says the V21 will be the first device globally to come with a 44MP selfie camera equipped with both Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS). These technologies enable the camera to accurately detect movements for example shakes when taking a photo, and calibrate the camera accordingly so as to eliminate motion blurs, and produce high-definition selfies. Vivo says the phone will also have the ability to shoot 4K selfie videos, shoot in dual-view mode, and do slow-mo videos too.
For the rear cameras, there’s a triple setup including a 64MP main camera which also has OIS and EIS, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera for closeup shots.
Some extra camera features included with the Vivo V21 include: inbuilt eye-tracking technology to ensure the subject is always in focus, and AI night portrait allowing the 64MP Len to capture portraits even in low light mode.
The V21 will also sport what Vivo describes as a sleek, minimalist design in a thin body which meets today’s users’ desire for a sophisticated and stylish smartphone to complete their look.
The company says that thanks to its signature Dual Tone Step Design, the rear camera is lighter, and simpler, and that the device sets a high standard in balancing advanced technology with a sleek physical form.
All these features will be powered through the smartphones strong processors, faster application startup speed, with a high refresh rate for motion clarity and an enhanced gaming experience.
