What we initially thought would be the Infinix Zero X turned out to be the Infinix Concept phone of 2021. There hasn’t been any more updates from the company on when we will see the concept phone perhaps go on sale. However, it is now more evident that the a Zero X phone will be launching soon.
We are not yet sure how many devices will be in the Zero X series. However, given the leaks currently are of a device tipped to be called the Infinix Zero X Pro, we might see two devices in the series. This is similar to what we’ve seen with the NOTE series.
Zero X Display:
This will be the best display ever on an Infinix phone to date. The use of an AMOLED panel also means the presence of an under-display fingerprint scanner.
Also, the inclusion of 120Hz refresh rate means it will be excellent for all types of users including gamers. There’s a tiny punch-hole at the top that should house the selfie camera, and the bezels are quite tiny from the leaks of YouTuber TechArena24.
It is a 6.7 inch display. Which puts it at a size smaller than the NOTE 10 Pro. So for everyone who dislikes large displays – though this is large – it will fit well in their hands.
Zero X Design:
According to leaks from XDA-Developers, the Infinix Zero X will have a Nexus 4 like back cover with shiny particles.
The camera design is akin to what we saw with the Infinix Concept phone in terms of the squares and the arrangement of the lenses. The biggest lens should be the 108MP main camera.
The edges of the phone are rounded and smooth, but the sides are made to look boxy. The whole look sort of reminds me of the Zero 3, but with rounded edges instead of that boxy finish of the earlier phone.
There’s a USB type-C port at the bottom, which should support up to 40W fast charging according to Gizmochina.
Zero X launch date:
According to information available right now, Infinix should avail the Infinix Zero X from October in African and Asian markets. This could mean a launch either in September, or very early October. We will share more information on this in the coming days.
Hopefully it launches with Android 12 out of the box.
