You can now Order Taxis, Food, Book Accommodation from M-Pesa Super App
Safaricom has today announced it is partnering with Little and Makao to have its customers access services from the two firms within the M-Pesa Super App which was launched in June 2021 and now enjoys 5 million downloads in Kenya.
Mini Apps on the M-Pesa app can be found under the Discover Option.
The two M-Pesa Mini Apps bring the total number of such apps within the M-Pesa Super App to 25. Other M-Pesa Mini Apps include the SGR Mini App, flight booking Mini App, the NSSF Mini App, M-Tiba Mini App and the GiftPesa Mini App for supermarkets and other retail gift vouchers.
The Little M-Pesa Mini App will enable customers to order for taxis, order for bodabodas, order from restaurants and much more.
The Makao M-Pesa Mini App will enable customers using the M-Pesa App to book for short term accommodation and holiday homes anywhere within the country.
As part of the launch, Safaricom says customers who use the Little M-Pesa Mini App will get KES 300 off their first two rides for the next one month. Customers who use the Makao M-Pesa Mini App will get 15% off on stays booked for the next one month, while the first 10 customers to book rentals in Mombasa will be awarded with free yacht rides.
Safaricom says it is looking to partner with more than 100 businesses and organisations to provide their services and products as apps within the M-Pesa Super App. These include all county services in the country, other government agencies, eCitizen, supermarkets, restaurants, among others.
