The TECNO Spark 9 Series was launched alongside the TECNO CAMON 19 Series. As you’ll see in this TECNO Spark 9 Pro Unboxing, there are a lot of similarities – in design and certain specs – between the two series of devices. Which explains the reason they came together.
The full specifications of the Spark 9 Pro are listed down below. First watch the unboxing video.
Display:
I think we’ve come to a point in time where all phones are just big. This device features a 6.6 inch display. But you don’t really feel its size, given many other options are larger than this.
It’s colourful, vibrant and gets plenty bright. It is a the usual LCD display, and I like that it is full HD. So no compromise on resolution. I believe all models have this display and resolution. Which is a good deal when you see what other manufacturers are offering at sub-18k prices.
Design:
This is the killer part of the device for me. It looks really good. The dual tone back with a glossy top and a matte bottom – nice. I love the sharp edges, the metallic-like sides and the overall premium feel. I want to say this device feels better on the hand compared to the Redmi NOTE 11 base-line devices. Yeah. It feels even better than the Camon 19 normal model for some reason. I just wish the front notch was a punch-hole instead, that would be nice!
Cameras:
In terms of numbers, these are really good lenses for such asking prices. A 32MP selfie camera, and a 50MP rear camera. The extra lenses on the back are not important. So ignore them. The thing is this, you’ll be getting quite good shots from both the front and back cameras. The processing I mention in the video above makes the shots a bit sharper and punchier. For the price, I think the cameras are good.
Thoughts on pricing:
It’s not clear if the Spark 9T and the Spark 9C have the same processor, or the same exact designs. I’ve not seen those two devices. If they do look the same, and feature the same processor, then jump on them as they’re fairly priced.
Now, for the TECNO Spark 9 Pro, the pricing is good for 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. That’s for sure. However, I am sort of wondering why pay KES 21,000 when you can add a little more and get the TECNO Camon 19 normal model which costs KES 23,499. But then again, that version has the same processor, battery, RAM and storage. So perhaps just stick with the Spark 9 Pro – they’re the same phone; just different cameras and display sizes.
