Areas in Kenya where Safaricom 5G is accessible

Safaricom recently opened up their 5G network for commercial access. This came in over a year after the company had started 5G trials in the country.

You can now access Safaricom 5G in some parts of the country – as shared down below – provided you have a 5G ready device. The company also launched 5G WiFi targeting homes and businesses.

Some devices from OPPO and Xiaomi already automatically access the network. Meanwhile, Samsung, TECNO, Infinix, Vivo and Apple’s iPhones will need to wait for software updates from their respective manufacturers to be able to access the network.

Here are all the areas where Safaricom 5G is accessible:

So, if your 5G-ready device is already updated to access the network – or if you have an OPPO or Xiaomi 5G device – try going to any of these areas and you will be able to enjoy 5G Speeds.
