TECNO Spark 9 Pro versus Spark 8P; the improvements made

TECNO has made great improvements to its Spark lineup with the release of the Spark 9 Series. Top of the new series is the Spark 9 Pro which you can pick up in a special BMW edition designed by the car company’s Designworks subsidiary.

In this article we’re comparing the Spark 8P from last year with this year’s Spark 9 Pro. Let’s see the improvements made to the new device including:

Display:

The Spark 9 Pro features a 6.6-inch display that’s full HD. It may be 0.2-inches smaller than the Spark 8P, but it now supports 90Hz refresh rates. Meaning you’re in to enjoy smoother scrolling.

Cameras:

The Spark 9 Pro and Spark 8P have the same cameras at the back: a 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor and and AI lens. However the Spark 9 Pro now has a 32MP selfie camera with a ring flash, compared to the Spark 8P’s 8MP selfie camera with dual flash LEDs.

Processor

The Spark 9 Pro is more powerful thanks to the Helio G85 processor included. Compared to the Helio G35 on the Spark 8P, this is a huge upgraded. You’re also getting a newer version of Android.

USB Type-C:

Both phones have a 5000mAh battery. However, the Spark 8P came with a boring MicroUSB port. The new Spark 9 Pro features a Type-C Port. Meaning, you’re not only future proofed, you’re also able to have one charger for everything.
