Suzuki Alto, 500K Up for Grabs in Safaricom New Gaming Campaign

Safaricom has rolled out an exciting 90-day online gaming challenge dubbed the “Wai Ndai” Challenge, giving customers the chance to win daily cash prizes and grand rewards of three Suzuki Altos. This innovative campaign aims to engage customers through interactive gaming while offering lucrative rewards.

Campaign Highlights

The ‘Wai Ndai’ Safaricom Challenge runs from 16th November 2024 to 15th February 2025, allowing participants to compete in skill-based games such as puzzles, arcade, and action genres. The daily prizes include cash vouchers totaling KES 500,000 distributed among top scorers, while a Suzuki Alto will be awarded each month to the top player.

Participants can join by visiting the game platform, dialing USSD *555#, or using the MySafaricom app, with a subscription fee of KES 10 daily.

How the Safaricom Wai Ndai Challenge Works

Customers accumulate points by completing the games and can monitor their ranking on a public leaderboard. Each day, the top three players will win vouchers worth:

  • KES 3,000 for 1st place,
  • KES 2,000 for 2nd place,
  • KES 1,000 for 3rd place.

At the end of each month, the highest scorer will drive away in a Suzuki Alto.

“Through the ‘Wai Ndai’ Challenge, we aim to deliver an engaging gaming proposition that resonates with our youth customers, all while keeping them entertained on the go and offering them opportunities to win exciting rewards,” said Fawzia Ali, Chief Consumer Business Officer.

Community Engagement Through Gaming

The challenge was launched during the Safaricom Hook Circle Praktiklz bootcamp at Nakuru Athletics Club. This inaugural event provided young people with a platform to connect with mentors and experts in various creative industries, including music, art, fashion, dance, and gaming.

To broaden its reach, Safaricom plans to organize activations across universities, colleges, and other hotspots nationwide, furthering its engagement with the youth demographic.

Celebrating 24 Years with the ‘Sambaza Furaha’ Campaign

The ‘Wai Ndai’ Challenge is part of the company’s larger ‘Sambaza Furaha’ campaign, which celebrates the company’s 24th anniversary. Other initiatives under this campaign include:

  • Customer appreciation activities,
  • Dealer engagements,
  • Grow with Safaricom business clinics,
  • Free medical camps.
