The Infinix Hot S3 is now available in Safaricom Shops

Unveiled back in February, the Infinix Hot S3 was the company’s first device of 2018. It was also the company’s first phone with an 18:9 display. However, the phone wasn’t available for the Kenyan market. But starting today anyone can get the device exclusively from Safaricom shops.

The Kenya unveil of the HOT S3, took place at the Safaricom I&M. It will be exclusive to Safaricom and select Safaricom Dealer outlets and will retail at a price of Ksh. 18,999. It is available in Topaz Blue, Sandstone Black and Blush Gold.

The key target markets are the emerging markets in Africa, Middle East, South America and Asia regions, with its main target group being mostly young people between 18 and 25 years.

Having a 720p display that I’m sure won’t at all disappoint given that we’ve seen the brilliant display on the Infinix Hot 6 Pro, plus a huge 4000mAh battery while being powered by a Snapdragon 430 Processor means this phone promises incredible battery life.

The pricing, though a little higher than we estimated post announcement back in February is also quite competitive in this segment of 3GB RAM, 32GB storage devices. The only drawback is that being a Safaricom exclusive device, you’ll need to stick with it having only one SIM card.

I can’t wait to test it out and compare its performance with the almost similarly priced Huawei Y7 Prime, and the phone I am currently advising anyone with 15k to buy: the Hot 6 Pro.
