TECNO announces Camon 18 Premier Ceramic Edition

TECNO Mobile has announced the addition of a Ceramic Edition Camon 18 Premier to its latest line up of its camera focused series. This should be the first or second time the company joins the likes of OnePlus, OPPO and others in launching a special edition phone with different materials after the official launch.

I am saying first or second because a few years back they had a special edition Manchester City edition Camon CX. It could count but they didn’t use different materials for it, did they?

TECNO calls the new Camon 18 Premier Ceramic Edition a balance between technology and fashion. The company explains that ceramic is one of the “super materials” in modern technology with high strength and temperature resistance. More resilient and harder than steel, the company explains that the microstructure is a combination of crystalline and glassy crystals bonded together. The shine and the curves on every piece come from 3,000,000 seconds of polishing using the latest intelligent manufacturing technology.

When you hold CAMON 18 Premier Ceramic Edition in your hand, TECNO says you are literally holding a polished crystallized gemstone. A ceramic phone also means you will not have to live with the stains that you typically get on glass and metal casings, so it will look polished and clean all the time.

“We stop at nothing to provide a better, more unencumbered experience for the users to feel good in the hand. We used nanotechnology with precision instruments to create this one-of-a-kind edition specially for you. It is the culmination of art and our specialized, well-researched technology ”said Danni Xu, Marketing Director, TECNO.

You can read my review of the Camon 18 Premier here. It is a great device and TECNO’s growth over the years can be truly felt here – especially for me who has used a lot of the Camon series of phones.
