SweepSouth, on-demand home cleaning service, launches ‘Connect’ in Kenya

SweepSouth which expanded to Kenya at the beginning of 2020, has announced the launch of ‘SweepSouth Connect’ in the market. The on-demand home cleaning service provider says ‘SweepSouth Connect’ is a service that connects customers to pre-vetted plus highly-rated service professionals for all their fixing and home maintenance needs.

SweepSouth started by offering in-door cleaning services, and then added out-door services in late 2021. With the introduction of ‘Connect’, the company says Kenyans needn’t worry of leaking pipes or a short circuit as they can simply find a professional through their ‘Connect’ app available on iOS and on the Google Play Store.

The company says ‘Connect’ is rolling out across Nairobi City and currently has plumbers, electricians and handymen who are available in Dagoretti, Embakasi, Westlands, Kasarani, Njiru, Langata, CBD, Madaraka with new services and estates being added.

Speaking on the launch, Aisha Pandor, SweepSouth’s CEO and Co-founder said: “This is an exciting step for SweepSouth in Kenya. We initially entered the market with home cleaning services but quickly saw a need for outdoor services as well, which we already had in South Africa. With the addition of SweepSouth Connect, we intend to provide reliable home maintenance services to all our customers, while still keeping our strict vetting procedures. This will ensure that all our clients are assured of the highest quality of service.”

Pandor also added that Connect allows the service providers to choose their hours, tasks and operating areas that they would like to perform, granting them flexibility. Meanwhile, the customer gets quotes from multiple professionals so that they end up with the provider who best suits their needs.

“We have experienced amazing growth in Kenya with our home cleaning services and more recently, outdoor. We look forward to growing SweepSouth Connect in the same way, so that Kenyans don’t have to be disappointed by unreliable service providers,” said Alisha R, SweepSouth Kenya’s Country Manager.
