TECNO has announced availability for the new Spark 5 in Kenya. They’ve set a recommended retail price for KES. 13,999. For that, you get a 6.6 inch HD display, a Helio A22 Processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage, and a huge 5000mAh battery. The Spark 5 is an update to the Spark 4 and the Spark 3 PRO. The new thing here being the new design, with a punch-hole display, and the new 5000mAh battery. TECNO has included in the box a 10W charger, and a plastic case to protect your device.
Dickson Ireri, East Africa Regional Training Manager commented on the introduction of the device: “We continue to see demand for our innovative smartphones in the Middle East and we are excited to be launching the Spark 5 in the region. As a brand founded on the principle of innovation and the value of AI technologies, the new Spark 5’s five cameras will appeal to users looking for a power-packed smartphone at an accessible price. In a press release, TECNO says on the cameras of the new Spark 5: “Photography enthusiasts can take professional-grade photographs in all modes and with various effects, including the bokeh effect, AI HDR, macro mode and AI portrait mode, making full use of the Spark 5’s powerful cameras. The cutting-edge “immersive screen” will provide users with a one-of-a-kind true full-screen viewing experience.”
TECNO hasn’t specified the Megapixels count of the extra 3 lenses at the back. Only the main 13MP main camera is specified. The others are listed by TECNO in their press release as a depth lens, a macro lens, and an AI lens.
The main features TECNO is pushing with the new Spark 5 are:
- Cameras: 8-megapixel front camera and 13-megapixel rear AI quad camera with 4 back flash and dual front flash.
- Storage: 32 GB + 2GB memory.
- Display: 6.6 inch dot in display with a 90.2% perfect screen and a screen resolution of 720*1600
- Battery: 5,000 mAh that TECNO says will last you all day on a single charge.
