How To

How to Check 2023 KCPE Results

The 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) examinations mark a significant milestone in Kenya’s education system. This year’s release of results holds particular importance as it represents the final cohort of students undergoing the KCPE exams, aligning with the ongoing transition from the 8-4-4 system to the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC). A substantial group of 1.4 million pupils, the last of the class 8 under this system, participated in these exams.

An interesting aspect of this transition is the change in secondary school placement. The KCPE pupils of 2023 will be the final group to be placed in secondary schools based solely on their KCPE results, as future placements will follow a different, career path-oriented approach under the CBC.
