How to check 2021 KCSE Results from your phone

The results for the 2021 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) have been unveiled. Speaking during the unveiling the said the results were for 747,171 students who finally sat for their exams a year of uncertainty thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to The Standard, these are the top 5 students:

  1. Simiyu Wanjala from Murangá High School 
  2. Allan Wasonga from Agoro Sare High
  3. Sharon Terer from Kenya High School
  4. Muriasi Robert from Alliance High.
  5. Mbugua Esther from Kenya High

If you have a candidate who sat for the 2021 KCSE exams, you can now use your phone to check for their results. Do this by sending the candidate’s Index Number to 20076.

The platform is open to both Safaricom, Airtel, Telkom, Equitel customers, and there’s a 25 Bob charge per SMS.

So to check results:

  1. Ensure you have more than KES. 25 airtime on your phone.
  2. On your Message App, Compose Text
  3. Send SMS with Index Number e.g. 7000001 to 20076
  4. Wait for the result via SMS.
