If you’re looking for a phone with such high-end specs, Xiaomi is the only company offering such at very aggressive and competitive prices. The 8GB RAM/256GB Storage model costs KES 64,999 while the 8GB RAM/ 128GB Storage model costs KES 49,999.

The processor, RAM and storage aren’t the only highlights of this flagship device. There’s three other things that standout:

  • Extra-fast fast charging at 120W
  • 120Hz Fluid AMOLED Display
  • 108MP main camera

Fast charge:

The fast charging is crazy. The phone can go from 0% to 72% in just 10 minutes. And in just 17mins your phone will be 100% charged! This is on top of the fact that it is a 5000mAh battery that will last you the whole day.

Display:

The device has a 6.67 inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It is an AMOLED panel with support for HRD10+ and Dobly Vision. It supports up to 1B colours and has support for up to 120Hz refresh rate. It is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus – which is the toughest glass on smartphones right now.

Camera:

The rear camera setup consists of a triple-camera comprising a 108 MP main wide angle camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 5MP lens which doubles up as a telephoto and macro shooter.

The main lens is impressive because of a couple of things:

  • Super large image sensor – meaning it lets in more light than other sensors
  • 9-in-1 Super Pixel binning – meaning its 108MP lens captures more details with less noise, and is really good with night shots
  • Dual Native ISO – meaning the camera has more data to work with helping with dynamic range and noise reduction.

You can pick up the phone from Jumia in the link below. It is definitely a good alternative for anyone buying any 2021 flagship device. You get almost all the features on high end device – most importantly the performance – at a price that no competing phones can reach.
