Here’s the Galaxy S24 Series Lineup Pricing and Specifications

Samsung Galaxy S24 Series: Advanced AI, superior cameras, expensive pricing

Samsung Electronics has just introduced its latest Galaxy S24 series, featuring the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24, all of which are set to change how we view smartphones thanks to “Galaxy AI”. The new series which still looks like the S23 Series, but with flat displays, and flat sides reminiscent of the iPhone design, will set the mood for smartphone launches throughout the year. A lot more companies will be launching things with AI, and finding ways to out-do the things Samsung is promising. Everyone else will also want to jump at longevity now that Samsung has followed Google’s 7-year update policy.

The new smartphones will be the most expensive S-series in Kenya to date. This is thanks to a lot of factors including the falling shilling, and increased taxes. It will be interesting to see how the devices perform in the market even as the company will be pushing trade-in and financing options.

Galaxy S24 Ultra:

Priced at KES 270,000, is the most premium offering in the series. The S24 Ultra features the ProVisual Engine, enhancing every aspect of image capturing and offering creative freedom with tools like the Quad Tele System including a 200MP Wide Camera, a 50MP 5x sensor, a 10MP Telephoto Camera, and a 12MP Ultra-Wide Camera. The S24 Ultra also boasts improved Nightography capabilities, with a larger pixel size and wider optical image stabilizer angles for reduced blur and clearer images in low-light conditions.

  • AI-Powered Editing Tools: Features like Generative Edit and Instant Slow-mo offer unprecedented control in photo and video editing.

Galaxy S24+:

Priced at KES 234,000, the Galaxy S24+ strikes a balance between advanced features and “affordability”, if that’s a word we can use at this price point. It maintains the series’ aesthetic with flat sides and a display akin to the Ultra model. It shares many of the advanced capabilities of the Ultra model, like the ProVisual Engine and AI-powered camera system integration with third-party apps.

The S24+ includes a 6.7-inch display, offering immersive viewing experiences with slim bezels and high peak brightness. It also supports the same level of QHD+ resolution found in the Ultra variant. Performance-wise, it benefits from the series’ general enhancements like the adaptive refresh rate and the Samsung Exynos 2400 processor for Galaxy.

The base Galaxy S24 features a 6.2-inch display with improved visibility and adaptive refresh rates for efficient performance. Like the other models, it is powered by the Samsung Exynos 2400 for Galaxy. The device also benefits from the series’ AI advancements in communication, such as Live Translate and Chat Assist, enhancing barrier-free communication and interactive experiences.

Key Specifications:

  • Display: A 6.2-inch screen, providing a compact yet immersive experience.
  • AI Integration: Like the other models, it includes advanced AI features for photography, communication, and productivity.

Galaxy AI: A New Frontier in Mobile Intelligence

Galaxy AI, as unveiled in Samsung’s latest Galaxy S24 series, represents a significant leap in mobile technology, focusing on enhancing user experiences through artificial intelligence. This system revolutionizes communication, removing language barriers with features like Live Translate for real-time voice and text translations within phone calls, and Interpreter for instant translation in live conversations, even without internet access. Take note that African languages don’t make it to the list. Not even one.

These features will be coming to other Samsung Galaxy devices in the coming weeks. So they’re not necessarily all exclusive to the S24 Series.

  • Live Translate: Breaks language barriers with real-time voice and text translations
  • ProVisual Engine: Enhances the photography experience with AI-driven image capturing and editing tools.
  • Circle to Search with Google: A gesture-driven search tool that allows users to search for information directly from their screen. This is coming to other Android devices too.

In conclusion, the release of Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series represents a pivotal moment in smartphone technology, we will be seeing and hearing a lot about Artificial Intelligence this year, you better get ready! Looking ahead to the rest of this year, we can anticipate more innovative trade-in options and financing variations for these high-end devices, considering their premium pricing.
